Singapore has now started free broadband in public places

Singapore has now started free broadband in public places in CBD areas and high density areas. the speed is 512 KBPS and it would be free for 3 years. People who want a higher speed need to sign up with the operators by paying monthly fee. the government has carefully excluded residential localities from this free wifi. it would be interesting to see how this experiment takes shape.
