There are lot of issues here. As I mentioned, even “free” doesn’t attract many customers. As for the “resonable” charges, it is very difficult to fathom the exact quantum of payments. We had been promised the moon and what we got was peanuts.
In my opinion, I wouldn’t hinge much importance to what Maran says. His appeal is limited to his constituency and he remains a frigging cog in the scheme of the things.
As for the so called “turn around” by Lalu of the railways, it is a media created hype. It was preceded by full page advertisements initially and then likes of Times of India picked up the “story” with others following suit. Railways remains one of the most important customers for it’s numerous advertisements for tenders and that’s the bread and butter of the newspapers.
The boffins in IIM-A are assholes to the core. Enough said about them. If I were really smart, I wouldn’t have been a doctor!
